50’s Style Ranch House Kitchen Remodel
The client desired a larger feeling kitchen but did not have the space to add on. After much discussion, it was decided to remove the wall that separates the laundry from the kitchen and relocate the hot water tank to an exterior tank-less unit. The refrigerator was then relocated to the area where the hot water tank had been removed. This, along with placing a counter over the length of the kitchen, created a natural flow to the back yard where the client enjoys entertaining. Additionally, to create the feel of expansion a tray ceiling was constructed, added crown molding, and back lit the molding to raise the ceiling. The look, especially at night, creates an atmosphere of spaciousness.
